The following is a list of available volunteer placements at VEG. In addition, if you are interested conducting research we can help you organize and plan your project.
Solar panels and electricity engineering
The goal of the Lady Volta Green Tech Academy is to train disadvantaged young people, mainly women, to become competent, skilled and professional electricians and solar engineers. At the end of the program, students will be ready to start a successful career in electrical repairs and installation, or solar power engineering. Students will also acquire all the necessary business, management and professional skills to manage a successful business and develop “lifeskills” such as autonomy, professionalism and responsibility. Sexual and Reproductive Health Volunteer
Our program aims to promote safer sexual practices in the population especially among vulnerable groups, to reduce sexual transmission of HIV, to increase the proportion of women and infants completing the Prevention of Mother to Child Transmission (PMTCT) programme by generating demand for services at the community level, and to carry out HIV Testing and Counseling (HTC). This project aims to reduce new HIV infections through Behavioral Change Communication (BCC) activities. Volunteers with communication skills, knowledge of the HIV/AIDS issue, social workers, desktop publishers to make posters and brochures, young and older, are all welcome to support our team and its group of peer educators . >>Read More Here

Accommodations
The VEG guest house is located in a residential area, a short taxi ride away from the town’s center.
Quiet and shared with an old and generous mango tree, the VEI compound offers a productive work environment, as well as an easy access to Ho’s services (Internet cafés, market, local “drinking spots”, restaurants, etc.)
Each room is equipped with a mosquito net and a ceiling fan. Each volunteer will have a key to his/her room.
The house also has a large number of books and a few games available. It is recommended to bring a laptop for work and to watch movies or tv programs.Living space
The house has three rooms that can sleep up to three people each. Each room is self-contained with a shower and toilet. Rooms within the VEG compound are either single or shared with other volunteers of the same sex, depending on requirements.
