VEI / Ghana receives funding from the 1% for Development Fund of the United Nations
| The funding will allow for the construction of a community library and activities centre in Takla Gborgame. Already partially built by the community, the completed space will allow for VEI / Ghana and other local NGOs to carry out youth and general development programmes to support Takla and the surrounding communities. |

We are looking for funds for general refurbishment and equipment of the centre. (Please indicate code TCCR (refurbishment) or TCCB (books) alongside your donation). Books relevant for toddlers, children and adolescents living in West Africa are most welcome. |

Trainer for Reproductive and Sexual Health programme

As new Implementing Partners of UNFPA, 2008 is going to be a busy year for VEI / Ghana's sexual and reproductive health programmes! To help build the capacity of staff at the Lady Volta Resource Centre and youth in local communities we are looking for Trainers to develop and run training courses with staff, youth leaders and local youth. Courses can include new skills and ideas regarding youth counselling, peer education techniques, and up-to-date information on SRH issues affecting teenagers and young people in their early 20s. Or feel free to suggest any topics you think would be useful! A course can be as short as two weeks, or can run regularly over several weeks, depending on your requirements or other programmes you would like to participate in. |
