To support the ongoing development of youth sexual and reproductive health (SRH) services at the VEG Youth Centre, and more generally in Ho, VEG is looking for volunteers to provide training for the VEG Youth Centre staff and local personnel working with youth on SRH issues.
As a trainer you would be based at the Village Exchange Ghana Office. You would be working with the LVRC and VEI/Ghana staff, as well as community representatives and local NGO and Ghana Health Service personnel. Depending on the program, it may also involve some community work in villages around Ho.
Training courses can include new skills and ideas regarding youth counseling, peer education techniques, and up-to-date information on SRH issues affecting teenagers and young people in their early 20s. Or feel free to suggest any topics you think would be useful! A course can be as short as two weeks, or can run regularly over several weeks, depending on your requirements or other programs you would like to participate in.
