Microfinance Volunteer

Working with VEG’s microfinance division was a fascinating and rewarding experience. In Ghana, only about 5-6% of the population has access to banking and credit services. Volunteering with VEG, you really have a chance to make a difference by providing women living in poverty with the loans and training they need to establish thriving and sustainable businesses. After working with the women in the villages, many of them are really beginning to feel positive changes in their lives.

In addition to the meaningful work you’ll be doing with VEG, you also have the opportunity to explore Ghana. The Ghanaians are extremely friendly people with an interesting culture, and I thoroughly enjoyed my experience during my time with VEG.
