What We Do
VEG believes that encouraging good and responsible reproductive and sexual health is an important way of promoting the empowerment of women, improving gender relations and ensuring that women have equal educational and professional opportunities.
Currently, Village Exchange Ghana Youth Centre offers comprehensive services focused on youth to provide reliable and up to date sexual and reproductive health education. Our programs aim at improving access to information on reproductive and sexual health issues, as well as providing support and realistic solutions for young mothers and other identified groups. Through a long standing partnership with United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), VEG creates a positive impact in the lives of youths and adults in and surrounding Ho.
Who We Serve
VEG reaches out to youth in the Volta Region. Daily, VEG welcomes youth to read in our educational and reproductive health library, play games, and use computers for educational activities. We also serve youth in surrounding junior and secondary school, providing peer education training and after school clubs.
VEG is an implementing partner of United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA). To find out more, visit them at www.unfp.org.
